What Is CBD?

CBD or Cannabidiol is one of over 400 compounds found in cannabis and hemp plants. Unlike it's counterpart delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol it has no psycho active properties and as a result is perfectly legal to consume within the UK and across most of the globe.

CBD and CBN were first discovered in the 1940s with the structure of THC being discovered and researched in 1964. 28 years later after dedicating his time to researching the compounds found in cannabis, Raphael Mechoulam and his team discovered the endocannabinoid system. This was a huge breakthrough as it showed that both humans and animals bodies posses a network of receptors which bind to cannabinoids which are present in the bloodstream when introducing cannabis to our bodies. Since it's discovery, CBD has been used successfully to help people with a vast array of conditions and mental issues with the UK government officially recognising it's potential in 2016.

Due to legal reasons, UK companies cannot speak of or promote any of the benefits which have been associated with the ingestion of CBD into the human body. Please do your own research and join a growing number of people enlightening themselves on what CBD does.
